The app provides easy and convenient access to the mobile pages of the DWD (German Weather Service) on which there is the current weather and warnings of bad weather. Furthermore, there is the current forest fire warning and a pollen forecast and now also a rain radar. The APP also presents the current forest fire hazard and UV index.
There are severe weather warnings for all districts and a weekly forecast of possible severe weather hazards (thunderstorms, hail, snow, ice, storm or whatever).
In addition, a background service can be activated, which regularly checks the weather warnings and displays a weather warning on the display of the mobile phone. For this the app does not have to be started. Here, the region selected in the region window is used. A second region can be activated in the settings.
Warnings can also be displayed in a widget. Works only if the app is NOT installed on the SD card. Update of the widget currently fixed 60 minutes.
The app currently works ONLY for Germany.
This is NOT an official app of the DWD but only an optimized browser with practical additional functions.
